Give Your Towel an Identity – Use Monogrammed Bath Towels

January 9th, 2009

Fed up of loosing your white towel at the swimming pool or Gym? Worried that your bath towel might get mixed up with someone else’s bath towel? It is really annoying to know that someone else used your bath towel by mistake. To evade such a situation use a monogrammed bath towel.

Monogrammed bath towels are towels with monograms appliquéd on them. This is usually done to give a towel its identity i.e., a monogrammed bath towel is mainly used to ascertain the person who uses the towel. Ideally a monogram is created by doing embroidery on the towel. Monograms are sometimes appliquéd on the bath towel.

Although monogrammed bath towels, are commonly used for personal use but they can also be given as a gift.  A monogrammed bath towel set would be an ideal gift, for the newly weds, since it is not only a great utility item for the newly wed couple who are yet to decorate their new house, but the monogram on the towels reflect your special sentiments. Gift a monogrammed hooded bath towel to the new mom at her baby’s ‘baby shower’ ceremony. Since she will use the monogrammed bath towel daily it would always remind her of your feelings behind the gift.

Primarily, monogrammed bath towels bear the initials of the person who is using it. Kids’ bath towels usually have monograms of their first names or nick names. You can often find “his” and “hers” embroidered bath towels in the market. Teenagers prefer to monogram tattoos on their bath towels. You can use monogrammed bath towels for your guests since it would prevent the bath towel from getting mixed up with other bath towels used by the family members.

There may be a number of reasons for using monogrammed bath towels but predominantly these are used to identify the person to whom they belongs.  At home, using monogrammed bath towels would reduce the possibility of getting your towels mixed with someone else’s towel. Sharing towels is not at all advisable; your bath towel can act as a medium to transmit disease. Otherwise also, your bath towel may start giving a foul smell if it is used over and over again in the same day. This is because the towel is not getting the chance to dry up properly in between two consecutive usages. Kid’s bath towels have cute little embroideries on them which make them look very attractive. Monogram your kid’s bath towel so that they don’t get them mixed up with someone else’s towel by the pool side or on a beach trip.

A lot of department stores these days offer monogramming services. You can make monogram on your bath towel at home if you are a skilled embroiderer. You can order a monogrammed bath towel with monogram of your choice online also.

I had my bath towels monogrammed because I wanted that spa look for my bathroom.
They are such a hit when my friends come over. I have even given them as wedding gifts because who doesn’t need towels. And these are not your ordinary towels. This store even carries a line of all white towels that have one initial embossed on the towel. Also very cool, be sure to check them out.
